St Peter's Church

The church of San Pedro, as it is locally called, makes a counter-claim that it is the oldest stone church in the Philippines. Its rival and the current oldest stone church is the Baclayon Church which is about three towns away. One of its chief claim is that having a three-storey convento setup precedes that of two-storeyed ones, like the Baclayon Church. It also claims that this is where Beato Pedro Calungsod originated, a martyr who was killed in Guam preaching the Word of God.
