Strategically located in the heart of Manila, this marine life theme park is behind Quirino Granstand, Luneta in Manila City. This 743 meters squared area is the home of thousands of different marine life. From small fishes like clown fish and sea horses to enormous and fearless sharks! All can be seen and experience while inside the Manila Ocean Park. This attraction caters all ages. Even those who are young at heart can truly enjoy! Some of the 3 main attractions that they have are the following: 1. Oceanarium: Once you arrived at Manila Ocean Park, this should be the first place that you need to go. This houses almost 5,000 of different marine species from the Philippines and from Southeast Asia. It’s like walking through the ocean where you can see fishes and other sea creatures swimming and passing above your head! It’s almost similar to a life size aquarium where you can really feel as if your part of their world. 2. Shark Encounter: Are you fearless enough to get close to this carnivorous sea creature? If so, you may want to try this! You will be placed inside a safety cage with helmet and diving equipment just like what you’re seeing in shark movies. From here you will be having a very close glimpse and encounter with sharks. Just make sure your cage is securely locked! 3. Aquanaut Voyage: If you really want to have close interaction with these wonderful marine creatures, this activity is the best for you! You will be wearing a safety helmet and other equipment that will let you breathe inside the tank which is full of sea creatures. Of course you will be accompanied with a certified diver that will help you. Other attractions are as follow: Trails to Antarctica Glass bottom Boat Ride Fish Spa Bird shows Jellies exhibit and a lot more After you experience all of the attractions, I’m sure your feet are tired and your tummies are now making weird noises asking you to feed them. No worries because they also have different amenities that will suit your budget and needs. There are plenty of restaurants and souvenir shops located on the same floor. You may also try staying at the Hotel h2o for a night, which is just beside the Manila Ocean Park. Or go on bar hopping at Liquid Pool and Lounge at Hotel H2o. Here are some common directions that might be helpful once you arrived here in the Philippines. From NAIA to MOP (Manila Ocean Park), you may take a cab from the airport and tell to the driver to drop you off in Manila Ocean Park which is behind Quirino Grandstand. Prices vary from each attraction, but they also offer a package deal for a discounted price. The Entrance Fee for adults is PHP400 (approximately US$10) and PHP350 (approximately US$9) for children.
